Since there are water-breathing amulets etc....
The Caverns of Osse
One of the three silmarils is seen in the sky in the morning and evening, carried by Earendil. One of them was engulfed in lava, and one was thrown into the waters of the ocean. In time, Maglor became so distraught that he dived in after it, driven by the ancient Oath of Feanor. But he did not end up in Mandos -- he was changed into a water breather by Osse, who missed the elves, and now guards the Water Silmaril.
Monsters: Various fish, sharks, electric eels, (rare) kraken Maglor, Last Son of Feanor the Maker: Level 45 [He's REALLY old!] STR 40, DEX 30, MAG 50, WIL 10 [lowest since the Oath could not be resisted at the end] CUN 40, CON 30, 40 Spellpower Two-handed weapons master, Spells: Tidal Wave, Corrosive Vapour, Freeze, ...? As a son of Feanor, he might also have fire spells. Artifact: The Water Silmaril (light source), Activates for illuminate level and tidal wave (80 out of 150/150), Radius 6 light, +4 to all stats EXCEPT WIL (maybe -2 WIL?), +30 mana points, +40 stamina points, 25 Spellpower
[Maglor should be tougher at least than the Elven Mummy. I've always thought that the *bands severely underpowered the silmarils since the Elven rings seem to be based on just where the silmarils were. And no one, not even Aule, was able to make things like he did. And the Air Silmaril is bright enough that it can be seen in the sky for part of the time when the Golden Fruit is in the sky as well as powerful enough to pass a barrier erected by the Valar. It's also weird that they do seem to recognize the great power of the Nauglamir, but don't remember that it's Earendil's Star that powered it....]
